I’m not really control freak. I swear. But when it comes to events, I like to be in charge. 1. The details . I already covered my mild obsession with the details of events. Being able to indulge in tangible creativity and maybe even making adornments from scratch would be fun and would appeal to my meticulous nature.

2. Travel . It’s safe to assume if you eventually establish yourself as THE event planner to the stars or something equally high profile, people will pay you to fly to places to plan their event. It is a fact that destination weddings are so hot right now.

3. Ability to be discerning . As an event planner, you are able to call the shots as to with whom you’ll work. Clients are hiring you for what you can do for them, not what they can do for you. 3. Budget . This also relates to the event belonging to someone else. Without a free-for-all of a budget, cutting corners might be difficult.
